Protect Your Eyes from Blue Light Even OutdoorsOrange protective glasses serve you well in the evening when it's already dark but you still need to be outdoors. They filter out blue light, to which our circadian system is sensitive. However, they allow a considerable portion of the green spectrum to pass through, allowing us to see colors well - for example, on traffic lights. Orange glasses are a functional compromise between protecting our biorhythm and safety. They do not completely prevent the influence of light on melatonin production and thus the quality of our sleep, but they significantly reduce it. You will appreciate them during evening walks with your dog or when returning home from the theater or cinema. However, once you are home, it is advisable to switch to red glasses, which completely block unwanted light before sleep. |
